El- Capitan urges team to keep focused ahead of Leopards' date
| Koky in action against Thika United |
Captain Geoffrey Kokoyo says that
the team needs to keep their concentration at an all time high as they prepare
to face AFC Leopards over the weekend in the fourth League match. The Champions
drew 2-2 with Thika last Saturday much to the dismay of the fans and the team
as a whole after leading 2-0 within the first 20 Minutes.
"This is a crucial game and we
have to keep the discipline ahead of it. As we know, Leopards have our debt.
Last season, they beat us 1-0 home and away and we must ensure that they pay
back for that. Personally, I am psyched ahead of that game and I want to tell
my team mates that we have to be on top on Sunday", El-Capitan says.
On the Thika game, El Capitan was at
loss and dismayed over the turn of events.
"Our defense was not that sharp
and we ended up conceding the two goals. We need to work better on that. Also
the second goal totally demoralised us and the game went down. I am however
confident that we can right the wrongs and move on", he adds.

Thika United came back from two goals down to salvage a 2-2 draw with former Champions Ulinzi Stars in an entertaining KPL match played at the Thika Municipal Stadium. Ulinzi Stars led 2-0 within the first 20 minutes but captain Kepher Aswani and substitute Francis Kahata scored to rescue a point for the milk men.
Ulinzi Stars got off to a fine start hitting the back of the net in the 4th minute through Evans Amwoka. Amwoka colly controlled a pass from Wycliffe Ochomo on the right, before turning and shooting past Lukas Indeche.
Keeping their pressure from the start, the soldiers went more on the attack with Stephen Waruru and Kelvin Amwayi doing the much running on the wings.
Wycliffe Ochomo made it 2-0 with 2o minutes on the clock after taking advantage of a Lucas Indeche error to slot in his first goal for Ulinzi since joining from Gor Mahia. Indeche spilled a seemingly harmless freekick from Kelvin Amwayi after the former Western Stima man was felled at the edge of the box. Ochomo was at the right place at the right time to slot in the goal.

Ulinzi Stars to play Chemelil in KPL Top 8
Ulinzi Stars players after winning the KPL Top last year
Ulinzi Stars will begin the defense of their KPL Top 8 title with Chemelil Sugar after the draw was conducted in Nairobi on Wednesday.
Ulinzi Stars coach Benjamin Nyangweso says that they will be under pressure in the KPL top 8 Knock out tournament especially with their tag as the defending Champions. Ulinzi Stars beat Western Stima 2-1 in the finals last year to win the trophy.
“Being the defending Champions is always a hard task. Many teams will be coming hard at us with the motivation to beat the Champions. That will bring pressure on our side but as soldiers we are not afraid of anything. We are going to take each team head on”, he says.
In the second edition of the Tournament, Ulinzi has been drawn against Chemelil Sugar in the fourth round match of the two legged knock out tournament.
